At the invitation of a community leader from Tulsa North, I attended an event aimed at combating the recent increase in gang violence.  It was a great example of a community coming together for a common goal.  I believe community leaders, neighborhood associations, churches, and role models are critical partners in improving public safety, along with law enforcement, and educational and economic opportunity.
