Tulsa World: Independent Mayoral Hopeful Says Bartlett Ducking Debates
I believe Tulsans deserve to hear candidly from the candidates who will be on the ballot on Nov. 10. The other campaigns are trying to keep me from being invited to the forums and debates. I have supporters from both parties, I know the issues and have good judgment. We need to be open with the public, and earn their votes, not hide behind political parties, money, produced commercials, handlers. That is politics, not statesmanship. Tulsa deserves better. Lets be open, talk about and debate the issues, keep it respectful not personal, and show Tulsa its options so they can make an informed decision on November 10.
Update: I received this in an email: “You can also add that Dewey failed to show at the NAIOP forum he agreed to attend with Adelson on Sept. 16th of last week. You should have been invited, but Bartlett had a “business meeting” to attend at the last moment before the forum before a real estate group.” (P.S. I was not invited to the “real estate group” forum either…)
